this guy has a 98 gt with 88,128 miles on it he says that it haS a salvage title but there is no body damage the only thing it needs is a new axle shaft and wheel witch he claims that hes fixing he wants $3900 is it worth buying it and does it sound to good to be true? </P>

Find out how the car was totaled if it has a salvage title or why it has a salvage title. A car usually gets a salvage title when it has damage that is either too severe or will cost too much to fix in respect to the value of the car. Personally, I wouldnt touch it. </P>

or it could have been stolen and recovered several months later....they can be ok cars.....drive it, look at it hard..lot of miles on it

yep, it was either totalled or it was an insurance company paid it off after it was stolen, once recovered it is sold for salvage. I don't believe you can borrow money on a salvage title, at least not here in GA, you can't get liens registered on them. Keep that in mind, you may have to pay cash for it.
