Default My Tire Lock Key Broke!

The key that you use to take the tire lock bolts off borke on me. Anyone got any ideas on how to get those bolts off now? What would ford charge me to make another one? I really need help cause my tires need to be rotated badly.

I forget exactly what it's called, but it's like Gator Grip, or Gator Grabber.... something called "Gator ____" but it it used to conform to stripped bolts and basically anything. Itsounds cheesy, but they used to use them on info-mercials. I'm sure you could find one online somewhere. My buddy had to use one once and it worked. Just when you get them off, don't use the same locks obviously.

my process ruins a socket, but it works. Here is the process:
Get a socket that is slightly smaller than the size of the lug. Take a hammer (mini-sledge prefered) and bang that sucker on there. Then remove the lug and socket with the socket driver.

When I bought my car it didn't come with the lug nut key. I ended up driving to about a half a dozen different tire shops before I found one (Ended up 40 miles away) that could take them off. I think they charged me about $10 each, but it had to be done.

They used something like what quartermilemaster was talking of.

^^what would that do? he needs to get the lug off to rotate tires, how is a 100 dollar bill going to solve that involving an insector?

Go to ford and order a new one. Saves your sockets, and lug nuts. I broke mine because Big-O-Tires does not understand what a torque wrench is for, just went to my buddy who worked at ford and had him order me one.

I tried that. The dealership told me that they couldn't order a key, unless there was a paper tag under the trunk lid with some sort of key identication number. That tag was not there, so they told me it was impossible.
