it seems like nobody ever checks out EGR, evap, or any of the emission systems. They can too create the same problems you are mentioning if not working properly.

what sort of emission system checks do you mean? i have already checked egr btw...

like I said above change the TPS it is very common for the car to idle funny. Mine did the same thing and then once I switched it has not done it since.

my 97 gt was doing the same thing and my problem was a blown head gasket. but it was leaking the coolant into the cylinders leaving thick goop on my sparks plugs.

The Evap system will not effect how the car performs its strickly for emissions purposes, aka "save the planet"

I have the same problem, replaced the fuel pump. Filter, fuel tank itself since the bracket that holds fuel pump was broken Still cannot figure out what is wrong, im aiming towards the coil pack. But when my car stumbles, all the gauges also reset? Swipe right and left and start up again like i just turned the key on? Any ideas??

As mentioned earlier in this old post, don't just start replacing parts. if you take a test light to ground, pull the plug wire off the coil pack and hold the test light probe above the coil tower and crank you should see spark which means the coil is good.

its a wasted spark system and i don't remember the pairs but 2 & 6 fire at the same time 1 & 5 and so on.

could be an egr problem this also can be checked good luck

I've had very similar symptoms and come to find out once I replaced the cranksensor the problem went away.
