mark is right, but ive been doing my homework on this and the cobra B heads (96-98 cobra motors) are very good way to go, all oyu have to do is remove the imrc plates (a restrictor in the heads... this is easy to do) and you have heads that flow equal to and in some app greater than the 03-04 cobra heads, due to the cam profiles at 6500 rpm and above (im still collecting dyno sheets to validate this, but it is proven that the b heads with the delte flow within 5cfm +/- of c heads)

Either one, if you own it, you'll like it...

96-98 cobras should be cheaper than a 03/04 mach, unless the mach1 is in pretty bad cond. or something. 96-98 cobra blocks are the strongest mustang block out there from what i've researched. if you want to mod the car after you buy it, like enginewise, i'd say go for 96-98, because you'll have more money left over. in the end it's your decision.

Ive heard that too. I think David_K here has done a bit of testing with them. For a boosted all out race application I'd tak the B heads. For a daily driver Id rather have the tumble port C headsas they make better low end torque and can be ported later on if you want (not saying the B headscant be)... I also like the COPs better.

My friend the mechanic tells me that a blown headgasket on a 4.6=a new engine. Ive known him for many years, and wouldnt bs me. He even called ford and they said the same thing. If this is true, does it apply to all 4.6's? Does the 98 cobra block have the same problem?
