MGW's sure do look nice, but since the shift rod is not splined or bolted to the actual shifter i don't trust it. They only use allen pinch bolts to keep the shift rod where you want it on the shifter and the way i shift sometimes....I just dont trust that.

I had a Kirban, have driven several cars with Pro 5.0's, one stang with a tri-ax, and after all of that i conclude that I liked the Hurst. Hands down...

Steeda tri-ax is the way to go. It's CNC'd out of one piece of aluminum. Very strong, tight, and short. It's great.

There will not be much difference between any of the most popular shifters. Which ever one you get you will be happy, b/c it will be such a great imporvment over stock.

lol. go for a ride with me. I grew up with a dad who is known to rip shifter clean off of top loader 4-speeds. I've had to retap the rear case in my trans twice because I shift so hard. If the threads in my trans can't take the beating, their is no way in hell pinch bolts will.

Tri-Ax for easiest shifting
MGW for quietest shifting

Either will do, they're both good.
