Default How to check Manual Transmission fluid

I havent checked the tranny fluid on my 5sp GT since i bought it... yesterday i tries looking for the tranny dipstick buti didnt find anything. Can someone tell me where it is?

To my understanding autos have dipsticks for tranny fluid (dont know if it applies to mustangs, someone set me strait on this). But i do know that manualtrannys, under the car,you have to actually take out the bolt from the fill plug, put your finger in the hole and you should just feel it topped off. If you cant feel it then you need fluid.

So i guess i should ask what year and if its auto or man?

avexhype -Youre going to have to crawl under the car and pull the fill plug and stick your finger in there.

No problem. While you got it up on the lift you might as well check the diff. fluid. You check it the same way, the fill plug is on the front of the diff. Towards the front of the car, driver side.
