It depends on how old the car is. On a newer car, MSD Ignition isn't going to be neccessary at all and won't help anything.

So, basically your are saying that if I get nice set of iridium plugs...I'll be doing just what I would with an MSD ignition Stacker 8, and I'll be saving myself a ton of cash ?

If that's the case, whenis an MSD beneficial to use? I've other mods as well if it helps:

Magnaflow cat-back
Bassani X-pipe
Bassni ML headers

March Performance pulleys #1190
C&L M.A.M. w/trueflow pipe
C&L upper intake plenum
K&N air filter
FRPP 70mm throttle body

Pro 5.0 shifter
Eibach pro-kit

Ordering tomorrow
4.10's
Modified cross shaft
AL DS
MM FL subframe connectors

All that'll be left for me to do is to have a dynotuned chip. So, with that in mind...will the Stacker 8 help me???????? I am going to get my chip burned, so that it'll have my car running w/93 or better, so...help

Yea pretty much... see when you run pemium gas, the gas really isnt better than the regular (except maybe additives sometimes), its just higher octane, which means it resists detonation better than regular gas, which means its harder to ignite. Often times when you run premium fuel, no only do you not detonate or get spark knock, but you don't always burn all the fuel, wasting hp. THATS when an MSD will help you, when your not burning all the fuel. Also, at high rpm's (6500+) a stock ignition system may not be strong enough to get all the fuel burnt at those speeds, THATS when an MSD will help you.

It also goes to show you that it can often times be a BAD idea to run premium fuel when you don't need it. Remember, if you want better gas, buy it from a better gas station, don't simply buy the expensive stuff because you think "you get what you pay for". The reason its more expensive has more to do with the fact that not as much of it is sold.
