Default Clutch Install

I ave a stage 2 Spec clutch and I'm trying to decide weather to install it myself with the help of some friends or have it installed. Anyone know how much a clutch install would run for an 04GT?

i would look into having some people in your local mustang enthuiast car club help you... i have a shop owner in my local club going to help me on a weekend and only charging less than 200 bucks... so that's an option I would look into... i have done clutches before in front wheel drive cars, and it just sucks so hard, i figure rwd will be easier, but still a pain, unless you have access to a lift i'd say pay someone to do it, but i would try hard not to spend 500-600 bucks that's crazy!

I have plenty of knoledge, my friends don't have much. I took a class on manual trans. I just don't know if I want the PITA of doing it myself.

I did my clutch and flywheel last winter and it was a breeze, I did do it with my car on a lift however. It only took me a a friend 5hours to do it. the hardest part was taking the f****** starter off.

I did a tranny swap I tore essentially everything down to the clutch and it took about 3 hours with a lift and air tools. So I cant imagine doing the clutch/tob etc. would take more than an hour or two more. If you have access to a lift then def. go for it, if not then decide if you want to lay on the ground for that long.

It's not a hard job. It's a pain in the *** on jackstands, though. I've done plenty of clutches on various types of cars. Then again I have a lift at work and my air tools. I personally wouldn't do it on my back with jackstands.
