centerforce or spec

RE: centerforce or spec
From what you have said, the Dual Friction Center Force seems like it would fit you well. I was happy with mine around town and at the track. When i blew my trans and only had third gear, I was in some pretty hairy situations where i had to slip it off the line on the way home and it held up well.
Last summer i went to the track about 4 times a month, beat it on the street and flat shifted all the time and the diff and trans went before it did. After that abuse for 35000 miles, when i took it out it still had about half of its life left. And compared to the Ford Racing king cobra or spec, the pedal effort is much less, but deffinatly harder than a honda or my subaru.

Have you read his sig? Looks like he has a stock car with no beef to it. Try launching with slicks at 5k and see what happens to those stock axles or control arm mounts! Also, he never said anything about slicks soI figured he was using drag radials which will spin at a 5k dump unless you shave them and heat cycle them. You don't have to launch at 5k to get the best E.T time either. 3-4k is perfectly fine.

There's no reason for 5K launches? What in the hell are you talking about? There is a reason for it. It's called "I wanna go fast." Have you ever launched at 5k+ on slicks? If you have, you wouldn't have said something so absurd.

I DEAD hooked on the 26x10 ET street (bias ply) spraying the 150 shot from a 6000rpm clutch drop, and THEN yes, I snapped a halfshaft like a twig. But I don't think I could have hurt that little 28 spline axle on motor. I've always heard that IRS's suck for the track and always break, and SRA's are better/stronger.
i am looking at the spec stage 3 also for when i get ready for juice
zw how is your's off the juice?

My car is "off the juice" 99% of the time. I drive it on 300 mile road trips (every other month), in traffic, whatever, and my clutch has been nothing but fantastic. When I get stuck in stop and go traffic, yea my leg starts to burn pretty good, but it did that to me when I had the stocker.
The Stg 3 isnt as grabby as you guys are making it out to be. You just have to learn how to take off smoothly.
