Default Mid pipe?

Does any one know if an o/r h pipe adds any power. From my underSTANGing the x pipe adds more. any help would be greatly appreciated.

From my experience, both add horsepower, but:

H Pipe- More for sound than horsepower
X Pipe- More for horsepower than sound

H pipe = Deeper idle sound and low end torque. Good hp gain.

X pipe = More raspy idle and exhaust note sound. High end torque. A lil better hp gain.

its all for sound. the performance gain is minimal between H and X. h pipe is alot deeper and louder in the lower rpms, x pipe is quieter in the lower rpm and loud and raspy in the higher rpm.

H FTW. Full throttle on an X has a sound that will make you tilt your head and go.... that.... sounds alright.......

but H is where the muscle sound is at

mid pipes do add power / tq but not as much as you'd expect.

H pipe is more for sound but has less hp/tq than an xpipe

catted / O/R pipes give relatively the same power n such just in different places on the power band, low end / high end.

A midpipe will add 5 to 8 hp, add another one if you go catless.

An X might get you another one over an H. Get what sounds good to you.
