Your only gonna gain MAYBE 10 hp from the TB and plenum and you will spend close to $400 for that 10 Hp. Thats why I say do it last.

"LT headers - $350
Bassani O/R X pipe - $350
Catback - $450
Pulleys - $179.00
Timing adjuster - $149
Gears - $ 179 + 300 for install"
'
How much Hp would I look to gain from these mods? I do not want to use spray, Id rather turbo or supercharge my car. Thanks all for the info! =)

Well full exhaust is good for about 30 to 35 hp and pulleys are good for somewhere between 5 and 10 and adjusted timing again id good for anywhere between 5 and 10. So you could see close to a 40-50 hp gain. The gears wont help you in the HP arena, BUT it will make your car get up and haul some serious ****!

Thanks for all the replies and info. Is there anything else I could do to gain more Hp besides adding a charger of some sorts(no spray either)? I ask because the engines on my 4.6l is a single over head cam and 2 valve. Should I hold onto that 2k and wait for the 06 Mustangs w/ a better engine?

Are you against a supercharger, in your original post you just wanted to know what would give you the most HP & TQ
I would save a bit more and supercharge it, nothing else will bring you close, and you are not far from a Vortec or Paxton ect.
But in your last post it sounds like you might not want one [&:]

Id love to add a turbo(more so than a supercharger) but wouldnt I have to mod the engine and car before I added the turbo? I remember reading the engine had to be forged(?) and a stronger tranny would have to be installed. I would gather that the price for a good turbo plus the upgrades would be a considerable amount of money.

IM still trying to understand why Ford installed 4.6l single overhead cams w/ 2 valves? Is it even worth modding this engine to high hell w/ all its short falls is my debate. A ford V8 produces 270hp compared to a Nissan V6 which produces 298.

I would go exhaust, or h or x and cat back, brand your preference, intake, 70 mm TB and plenum for sure, gears 4:10 if you stay na and 3:73 if you plan future N20 or SC. Drag radials and pullies put you about 2k if you do most of the bolt ons yourself and pay for the gears. On my GT I did everything then added BBK long tubes for no gain at all and over $1000 installed.
