I am going to buy the Accel COP's, not neccesarily for performance gains. They are a lot less expensive for the set of 8, than the Motorcraft ones.
Yeah, for a reason.
Thats not necessarily true, Im running 418rwhp on a built shortblock and 12lbs of boost, and Im running the MSD version (very reliable) of the coil on plugs. The were less expensive than the motocraft ones, about 40% less expensive, and I have gained noticabely better spark than with the originals. Understandibly however, my setup is quite far from stock, so you might not see much difference in a close to stock set up.

The one thing that made me realize that they weren't that good was that the ford dealership here has 44 of the motocraft coil on plugs on the shelf, at 91.00 a piece before tax, thats 4,000.00 dollars of inventory on the shelf, and thats just one little part. Why would they have that much if they were just sitting there.

I've thought about trying the MSDs but I can't seem to find a price I willing to gamble with. Its hard to argue with video dyno results and watching the process. Of course that was a +600hp car, so results on our motors even F/I would probably be in the single digit range. That torque increase was pretty nice though. Kenne bell sells a boost-a-spark (they reommend it for 10psi and up) was also thinkin about that. If you get them, get it dynoed and tell us wassup!

before i bought those, my motor a low rpms would hesitate. kinda like it missed a cylinder for a fracton of a sec. Know i can completely dog my motor and will not get anykind of hesitation.

The reason you see the really high power cars making gains on the aftermarket COPs is because they can run a larger plug gap, and thus more power, without fear of spark blowout due to the boost.

Its just not going to effect a mild bolton or even stock motor blower car all that much.

Eh, I wouldn't read too much into that. There could bea plethora ofreasons why a stealershiphas that many in stock...

Mine are 9yrs old and I have no issues with them. Stock FTW unless you NEED to replace them.

How would that not be the case with a 400hp motor on boost? Wouldn't that yield similar results with our cars? If I run a larger plug gap with my 11 psi (or way more when I go forged) without the fear of the cyl pressure "blowing" it out, wouldn't it be benefiting me in the same way.

This is exactly the problem that I have with my 111,000 mile, 2002 GT. Drives me nuts! No "check engine" light or trouble codes, either. Readings from the O2 sensors and TPS are fine.

I'm going to order the Accel COP's. I already put new boot kits on all of the stock coils. It ran great for about 30 miles, then was back to the same problem again.

I finally ordered the Accel COPs and installed them. No more hesitation or missing. Total cost was $203.00.

Nice, I ended up going with GMS COPs, they have them on sale for 360 for the set. Haven't had any trouble with them.
