Default fog light wiring/switch HELP

hey my friend has a 98 gt and he just got cobra fogs for his cobra bumper that was on the car when he got it. the old owner has done many stupid things and this is one of them....underneath the fog light switch there is nothing, and under the radio is all the wires which are cut, andI assume went to the fog light switch. We went to ford and they couldnt sell just that part which we need. So I need to know how we can wire these...directly to the battery and just get a generic switch?, wire them into the parking lights so they turn on with them?....also how would we go about doing that...and other options spit em out, thanks a lot guys

a relay to the turn signal power(not the blinker wire) and the battery and the switch... personally i would try and figure out which wires were the factory ones and replace them and have it turn on just as factory

hey guys...its my car pats talking about.......heres some more info we found out...the wires we found under the dash are not for the fogs, left overs from the stock stereo......so somewhere between the fogs and the firewall the wires are cut...also with the switch..its just the housing of the switch..no metal prongs underneath it for the connector to plug into......now this is what i was thinking....get a generic wiring harness...splice the wire into the headlight switch, so that when you pull it out the 1st click for just the parking lots they come on...would that work? sorry guys im inapt when it comes to electrical work so any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks guys...jeremy

It would work until something burnt up. Youcan overload the headlight circuit if you scab it in. Take alittle time and do it the right way. Try to repair the stock wiring or run a wire to a 10 amp fuse, and then to a switch, and then tothe lights. Put the fuse close to the power sorce. A stock switch would be nice.
