you guys suck ***, thanks for nothing
WTF is this all about?[sm=boohoo.gif] You need to calm the heck down man. You gave everyone only an hour to respond. Don't get your panties up in a bunch because you waited till the last minute to ask someone! Maybe people didn't know anything when you posted up the question! Anyways, I already answered your question above

Incorrect. If your tuner turns lets say everything off. like Catalysts, evap emissions, egr, A.I.R emssions, your computer will read NOT APPLICABLE when you plug in any code reader. This tells DVM that your car does not recognize these and therefore must not need these and WILL pass you! I live in NY. I have everything turned off and passed. No need to drive 30 miles either since there's nothing to reset. The only time you will fail is if your car is in NOT READY status. The scanner they use catches Reasdy's and Not ready's. They pass right over Not Applicables. I drove 2miles after I reflashed and passed NYS emissions inspection. My car doesn't go up in the air, so no cats are not a prob. Since the OBDII, most corner places could care less as long as you pass the code reader

Like I said, it depends on where you are and how extensive their smog inspections are. BTW I have failed for too much timing. Just cause you passed with a tune, doesn't mean everyone will. Since they don't actually check your exhaust in MD you will probably be OK as long as they don't look underneath. But since you don't have anything done to your car that requires a tune, why don't you just flash it back to stock and turn off your MILs for the test?

my boy has an03 20th anni. Golf. he's got a 3" TB, FMIC, and its chipped with an APR tune running 17psi and he passed with no problems. they just plugged it in and slapped the new sticker on it. you should pass no problems. They always tell me...as long as theres no "check engine" light on your safe.
