Default Suspension

Hey guys, new member to the forum. I just bought a 2000 GT convertible with 67k miles on it, and wanted to do a little to the car, i was wondering if i want to lower the car and i buy some springs, do i NEED to replace the shocks and struts right away? or will it drive fine with the lowering springs and stock struts and such. Thanks guys and girls. Proud to finally be a member of the Mustang Family and Mustang forums.

Thanks for the help. Have you or anyone else lowered there car using stock struts and shocks? how was the ride? Because considering there's only 67k miles on my car i figure the stock struts should be good for a while.

Thats what i thought but my car has 27k on it and the pervious owner didn't drive it hard (40+ old dad) and my shock was completly shot and I had no idea. Be sure to check before you assume everything is okay! Just a warning.
