Default Tech questions about 01-04 GT

I currently have a cobalt ss supercharged and wanted something convertible for the summer time. I originally wanted a sky, but I also dont feel like spending a fortune for a car that has little aftermarket support. I always thought GT's were awsome cars, so i was thinking about getting one. I was kind of disappointed from a test drive I took recently, so I really want to mod it when I get the car. Performance wise I was wondering, what would I need to achievemid to high12's in a NA GT?

I plan on doing a SC upgrade later down the road, but I want to keep her NA for now. Any ideas?

Id say full bolt ons, cams and a good driver. Get a 4V if you want to run 12's NA

any guess as to how much that would cost? I know it costs a small fortune for bolt ons for my car now...

with a s/c or n2o you could hit 12s fairly easy. these 2v cars dont have much modded potential n/a. like said it would take all the bolt ons you can think of, with cam work and a more aggressive gearset along with a good driver to hit 12's n/a.

you'll probably wind up spending 2-3k for not much gains if you go the full bolt on route...

exhaust, midpipe, headers = like 1k
intake, tuner, gears, tb plenum = 1k (some of that stuff would have to be used to be near or below 1k)

and of course you will want suspension and rims and exterior styling such as tints, grille delete, mach 1 chin, etc

and than you will probably dyno around 260rwhp and 310rwtq

or of course you can do H/C/I but thats really expensive

OR YOU CAN BUY A USED S/C!!!!!!!

I was thinking the 4v route. Also, one thing I love about my current car is the 7k redline. Can I run a 7-8k with the 4.10's, or does the gearing not allow that? WouldI need to change the valve springs? Im not too sure howV8's work, so bear with me.
