yea you did geta good deal, if you look hard enough you can find deals. I got my heads w/cams and all that, and the intake for 200 bucks haha. Good luck man and remember to crank it over by hand before you start it up, dont forget like I did.

1-Reuse your NPI lash adjusters and rockers.
2-You do NOT need a different altenator bracket
3-Invest in Longtube headers (if emmisions allow) You'll get a better bang for the buck
4-ONLY USE OEM GASKETS!!! Talk to Randy Stichcolm(sp) about prices.
5-As far as the 2nd coolant sensor goes, I had a bung welded on to the coolant elbow which was threaded.

Keep in mind that your bang for the buck factor is what you need to keep in mind. I made 264whp with a leaky PCV system, and conservative tune. Going back in April for a more agressive retune (+n20 tune) and shooting for 270whp+ n/a.
