better or worse?
Has any1 installed one of those "8in attennas" to replace the 29 inche monsters that ford put on? how is the reception, how does it look? I dont use a car cover, but i think it would make the stang look better. Also i have heard the reception is seriously hindered by it? Im not sure and looking for some advice!

I cut mine down to about 12", I didnt notice a change in the reception. Purdy easy, pop the ball off cut the antennae where you want it taper the edge of the antenna and glue the ball back on.

i bought one at mustangtuning and i only noticed that one of the stations comes in poorly since doing this but i mainly listen to cd's anyway but it looks 10 times better but you definitelt need to get use to it first cuz it might look weird until it being on there for a week then you go "damn this looks alot better."

cut the original first. I cut about 10" offa mine, just enough to make it match the top of the car. I looks soo much better. 33" is way too much antenna, they shoulda put it on the back with a big spring under it anda tennis ball through the middle of it. Like a big 'ole whip antenna for those CB radios. Reminds me of those long white poles they put on the back of go-karts with the lil orange flag on the top. I cut mine, glued the ball back on, shot it with some spray paint and put it back on in between classes about a month or so ago. Took a total of 20 minutes. It looks much better and reception has not be affected at all! cost me $.97 for a can of black spray paint.
