Default Help too raspy

I just got my exhaust system installed a couple of days ago. I have a BBK off road x-pipe and a Mac cat back exhaust. The problem is that it is too raspy for my taste. I was wondering if there is anything I can do to get rid of some of the rspiness withought changing the whole system?</P>

Try different mufflers. Raspiness is inherent in a lot of X-pipes. Im not familiar with MAC products but make sure the mufflers you switch to are not chambered. Theres a few guys on here with Magnaflows. Hopefully they'll ring in shortly on how they sound with an X-pipe.

Chambered mufflers, like Mac and Flowmaster, don't usually sound all that great with an X-pipe. Try a wide open type muffler, like magnaflow or slp. Don't expect either of them to be as loud as your mac at cruising speeds though, but it will sound smoother in my opinion, and and definately yield more power.

I kinda figured the MAC was chambered. Wish I had Magnafow but addicted to the sound of flowmasters.

If only magnaflow sounded like flowmaster I too am addicted to the flowmaster sound, but when you swap a set of flowmaster with magnaflows and you actually "feel" a difference, there is no way I can afford to pass that up.

DroptopGT, if you are considering a muffler swap, let me know and I'll send you clips of my Magnaflow exhaust.
