Default 2002 mustang battery dead keys locked in car!

Does anyone know how to open the hood from the outside of the car. My son lives in another state and left his lights on in the morning after working the night shift and also locked his keys in the car. He has the remote but it does him no good. Would appreciate any help. Thanks!

Im thinking the hood release cable or latch will be about impossible to snake your hand to. If you could get power to the starter post (the main lead that runs to the battery) with jumper cables or a heavywire and ground negative from the jump source to your engine blocki would think you would have enough juice to activate your keyless remote.

Call AAA, or if you know some one with a Slim Jim to break in your car. You can also call your local police to get in your car also, they will have slim jims to get into it.
We have used AAA and the local police to get in before.

With AAA they will make you sign a waver if they break anything inside your door getting it open, as it is possible to do so, that they will not be held liable for any damage. They will try to break in the passenger side first incase anything gets broken so it dosn't mess with getting in the drivers side door.

With us they broke some plastic clips inside that hold the lock rod components, and we just had to take the door panel off and fix the broken clips, rare, but it happens. Even the most experianced door breaker inner can break stuff getting in.

They also have a waver if they can't get in your car even after trying to break in that they can use a BFH (Big F'in Hammer) to get in, that is not their term but you get the idea. Then turn the broken window in on your comp insurance to pay for the window.

Yeah, AAA and a slim jim is the easiest way. Or if you don't want to screw around with AAA call a locksmith.

I wouldn't trust AAA and a slim jim with the style of doors that we have. I just see our window mounts or doors getting bent out slightly when they stick the slim jim in there. I would call a locksmith and then AAA as a last resort.
