Default hmmm unsure about my mustang.

ok so i bought my mustang about a week before christmas and the previous owner was unsure of all the mods. im thinkin he was more of a driver than a wrencher. i am like the 4th owner so im still tryin to figure out wat i got. all the mods that i know of r listed below. uhm i think its been lowered an inch but idk u tell me. alsoi think its pullied but i cant tell, wen i park it next to my 4.6 tbird and compare them andi cant tell a diff. but i do know that my mechanic sed it looked like UD's but wasnt positive, and at idle my battery meter dips and it seems to go up and down w/ the rpm's. so wats a good way to find out? also a bigger problem is i had a failure in the vailtrain of some kind while i was on the freeway. i was doin about 115 at WOT and my engine made a boom and the rpms cut down to almost nothing and i coasted off and towed it back to my mechanic. he did a compression check and sed i lost compression on my #1 cylinder. he sed it was a valve failing but wouldnt kno the extent w/o pulling it apart. after starting it a number of times we noticed that it kept getting smoother and smoother each time. so i drove it home parked it and drove my tbird for about a week. after beeing love sick for my mustang i decided to do something about it and went and bought some marvel mystery oil and dumped it in my oil and ever since the car has run as good as ever. my pops thinks it was a stuck valve, but neither of us kno much of anything about ohc cars. we r both old school muscle guys so i dont even kno if thats possible in an ohc car. now if it had been in our 68 camaro itd already been ripped apart figured out and rebuilt but i dont kno **** about these sohc 4.6's. so any input you guys could give me would be great, i'm still learning these cars and trying to get away from the traditional carburatedpush rod v8's.

underdrive pullies shouldn't cause your voltmeter to dip back and forth. thats a bad alternator or battery. take it to advance autozone and they can check the system and tell you which one for free. change out your spark plugs and go from there. did it misfire??

thats wat it felt like, but the check engine light didnt come up. yeah the previous owner just put a new alternator and battery in before i bought it. but wat im worried about is my valve train. i can handle an electrical problem.

go to www.hpvideo.org theres a bunch of videos on there about the 4.6L. these videos are very well done and some of the videos are how to do a complete tear down and rebuild of the 4.6L, how to rebuild your 8.8 rear end, how to install a wet nitrous kit, and how to rebuild your heads. I have bought pretty much all of them and i am totally impressed and would recommend them to everyone.

Yeah, thats what i was thinkin after i had mine a few months. I was like man this thing needed so much money i could have bought a 99+ with lower miles for the same price. but o well i love my car. I love the 94-98 body style and it was the color i wanted and it had the black leather interior too. and a 5 speed of course

yeah i love my body style, but i hate my rims and somebody along the line put saleen stripes on it, hate those too. eventually im gonna go to black bullitt's w/ the 10.5's in the rear. and go to a trick lookin two tone flat black/gloss black paint job. buuuttttttttt thats way down the road and wen i get back from basic, MCT and comm. school uncle sam will have paid me enough to afford an '03-04 cobra . but i if i dont, the motor is def gettin a new top end and all pi w/ a good set of cams, its gonna get new rims and new paint. even tho the paints fine im just ocd like that lol
