Default suspension???

im gonna be puttin some new suspension on my car in about 2 weeks, and i was wonder what would be the best route for a street strip set-up. ive been thinkin of the 4cly fox springs in the front and v8 springs in the back. if i do that what shocks and struts would i need. and what r some other pretty cheap options to go with

Thanks
Brock

Default RE: suspension???

I would consider myself having a street/strip setup and heres my complete suspension setup:

Eibach Pro Kit
KYB AGX 8 way adjustable gas shocks/struts
MM full length subframe connectors
Steeda Strut Tower Brace
Steeda adjustable upper control arms
steeda non adjustable lower control arms
torque box reinforcement kit
MM caster camber plates

and best choice of all, some sticky radials!

I have been doing some research and ask the same question recently. I found on super nice MM setup that includes everything for a awesome street/strip setup. I was thinking of just replacing the control arms and go for a nice set of axels also a lsd/locker. I drive my 03 a lot more then I race it so I think it wouldnt be to much over the top. I know if your suspension is to tightorto over the topyou will end up breaking something. Mainly torque boxes, stock axles, stock rear end. Just my .02.

If you want true street/strip setup the only real way to do it is coilovers all the way around with adjustable shocks/struts, lower control arms, adj. upper control arms and subframes. Thatwill be a good starting point.

Lowering springs-look good but thats about it and will kill you on the track
Fox 4cyl springs- are ok if your broke and is your only option but really not the best front springs
Strut tower brace-I haven't seen any turns on the strip

As said earlier, STREET and strip....but where im from theres many a turns on the streets. In that case, also look into getting an eibach anti roll kit. will make your car handle like a go kart.
