low fuel light disabled?

Default low fuel light disabled?

Ok i was on empty driving to get gas and anyways i didnt make i was about 200 yards of the gas station...but my low fuel light never comes on when i get low? Is there maybe something disconected so the low fuel wont come on? If so what else would be disconected if the fuel light is not working if anything?

the bulb in the dash? and if so wouldnt there be other lights that were not working?

Nope. There are 18 or 19 different bulbs. There is only 1 behind the low fuel indicator so if it was the only one to burn out all the other would still work.

SN95's are 94-04 and they started using Low Fuel lights in 98.

Chaps:

No flame intended butthere is NO low fuel light in the 1998 models. (For the record, mine was built late in the model year and has no light). The low fuellight was introduced in1999 Mustangs (and continues).

For the health of your fuel pump, you should not run below 1/4 tank level. The pump is cooled when fully submerged and it does not cavitate (basically suck vapor). Heat and cavitation will kill the pump.
