[sm=hail.gif][sm=hail.gif][sm=hail.gif]Then isa eeezzzz bein edumacated.. LOL I AM curious though, how if it's just using hot air off the engine basically (if I understand this the right way) doesn't the heater produce as much of a load on the engine as the A/C compressor does? They're both still running fans right? The only difference is that the A/C uses the freon to cool the air where as the heater is pulling air off the engine.. [sm=dontgetit.gif] Just asking.. can't help it, I'm a knowledge wh0re so I ask lots of questions.. LOL

Because the AC has more belt driven accessories to go along with it....condensor, compressor, fan to make the A/C work just the coolant flow and a small fan for the heater.

The water pump circlulates the coolant through the heater core. It looks exactly like a mini radiator, minus the filler cap (its about 5"x10"). A fan blows air through it, just like the radiator in front of the car, except this air circulates through the car's cabin. Its not really "hot air off the engine." The heater core is in the cabin of the car, tucked away behind the dash.
