SCT Two step rev limiter help please
I setup my SF3/X3 tuner in my 2000 GT 5spd Convertible with a built in strategy flash for a 2500rpm neutral rev limit which gave me a sweet launch but...... Whilst driving my rev limit only goes to 2500rpm! Not so great! I checked my tune settings to make sure that the driving rev limit hadnt changed and it was set at 6500rpm so that was correct. I then reflashed the comp and still it limited to 2500rpm!
I gave up and flashed the neutral limit to 6500 to make the car drivable but i would really like the two step to work correctly.
Did I miss something in the setup? Is there something wrong with my car? (Clutch start inhibit works) MIght there be something wrong with the tuner?

The tuner has to go into the handheld and change one of the parameters to .5 instead of 1 for it to be enabled. Otherwise it just works as a one-step. I tried to do this same thing on my car, couldn't get it to work. I took my car to mph and he said it won't work at all on a 96-98 computer without an msd ignition setup.

If you're a manual your car will think you're in neutral all the time therefore limiting you all the time. Drive rev limit is for auto's.

I would do what the above poster said, check with your tuner to see if it needs enabled. I know alot of people have had trouble with the SCT xcal rev limiter for some reason.

The first rev limit is set to zero speed, not for the car being in maual. It will work on a manual... thats the entire point.

I got mine and it did just as the OP described. I told my tuner what was going on, and he emailed me a tune that had the 2 step in it, and it did the same thing. So I just figured it didn't work with a 5spd, but EVERYONE says they think it will. So I just called them up. That's not the case.
