you can put a pi manifold on npi heads. theres a how-to as a sticky in one of the sections (general, 4.6 tech, or 4.6 general). no real modification required.

PI swap wont cost 1000+ unless you have someone do the work for you. i see the heads and cams for sale for 3, 4, 500$ and you have to get the manifold anyways.

ebay you can get a mani for under 200$ shipped.

Replace it with whatever you want. Just don't patch it. Patching the hole will stop the leak for now but it doesn't get the manifold it's strength back. I know someone that patched theres and it ended up blowing a couple weeks later and ruined his motor. Remember, when a car warms up pressure builds up in the coolant system. If you don't have the money for a aftermarket intake then just replace it with the ebay special with the aluminum crossover and be done with it.

When the engine is warm it dosn't matter what your RPM's are, but beating on it will speed it up.
If it is cracked you'll be leaking fluid and if you run out, screeeeeeetch and boom..... Or just screeeeetch and stop....

Fix it.

okay i've dicided to go with the pi intake considering it can be had for pretty much the exact same price as the npi intake with the almunium crossover. and i've read over the how-to but could someone give me a full parts list so i know exactly what all i'm looking for i know the how-to has one but i've also heard that 98 mustangs arleady have the pi water pump nipple.
