I would probly do it if my water pump went out. But electric water pumps have been successful upgrade for quite a few years now. They will certainly free up a few HP vs the stock pump which runs off the belt. I just wonder how long they will perform on a DD.

Excellent mod. It's been proven unlike alot of other popular mods. Mezeire pumpsare good for an honest 9-11rwhp.

Now what size belt would you need with an electric pump? And what if you have Steeda UDP's (just the crank and alternator, obviously)?

just bought mine this weekend from summit racing. I didn't install it yet, b/c for a d/d you need a 30amp relay with leads.

They come with an inert pulley mounted to the electric pump, so you just use your stock belt. No re-routing or anything like that.

If you order from brendspeed it comes with all necessary wiring and relay. You can also order the wiring/relay kit seperately.

What about with UDPs? Can you use the UDP water pump pulley on the elec pump and use the belt from the UDP's?
