O and also the intake had a little dent in it not sure if that my cause it and I did plug the hole where the 02 sensor should have been. so anyone have any answers?

i think 2000 up have the IAT integrated with the MAF,
make sure the hole is plugged good, is this a fender mounted CAI?
the MAF sensor doesnt like having a bend right before it and can trigger a CEL
get it scanned to be sure.

the 01.5-04 have a temp sensor integrated into the MAF. plug the hole and unplug your battery see if it comes back. you didnt buy one of the CAI's with a new maf did you?

Sounds to me like you messed up your MAF while installing the CAI. Check the electrical connection to the MAF and make sure it's tight. If you have a handheld programmer, find out what code it's throwing could help you track down the problem.
