i cant see why it wouldnt you would probably need a new bellhousing and different tranny mounts....

The 01 GT transmissions (either a T45 or 3650, depending on when it was made) used an electronic sending unit for the speedo, whereas a fox used a plastic gear. The tranny might fit or probably be retrofitted, but you might have difficulty with getting the speedo to work.
