How about the lower RPMs? I think its time to look for a good knock sensor or very long stethoscope.

you sure the tune was spot on? Who did the tune?

I guess 11 psi on a stock bottom end is playing with fire regardless of tune, but I just didn't expect it to turn south after having no issues for like 8 months on virtually the same setup.

I doubt that anything hit the plug, that is what happens when it starts to detonate, the heat bends the electrode over like that. If it has a little bit of molten aluminum on it then it was starting to burn the piston so if you have access to a borescope take a look inside or do a compression test to see if that hole is down a bit, good luck.

Ouch!!! Sorry to here that. Unfortunately, this is somewhat common when running 10+psi on the stock bottom end. Give us a call and we can set you up with the right bottom end

if it was overtorqued it could damage the threads and if the plug comes loose and the threads in the head are damaged it can go in farther....not torquing it right in these heads can damage the threads on the head itself and cause the plug to go in farther and get shot out of the head...its happened to a ton of people on here, including myself....that is how it was explained to me when it happened to me, if thats a wrong explanation sorry....theres tons of threads about blowing plugs here...which is essentially what he did... im surprised it didnt get shot out

your a/f ratio isok but thats to much timing , especially if your not intercooled/aftercooled . I'm running 8psi w/ 15* at 5800rpm to be safe . my a/f ratio is 12.0 at WOT .
