on my 2003 gt, when i drive on the highway my car steering wheel shakes a little, is this normal or is it suppose to be tighter, i was wondering could my tie rods or ball joints be going bad, if i jack up the car and i move both wheels around would this tell me if one of these suspension parts could be bad? the car was certified in august and the tires have alot of tread and tire pressure is fine

Check for play in the wheel bearings. I had the same problem in my Tbird, bad vibration only on the highway and when braking, it ended up being one of the wheel bearings.

How do you change your oil? if you let oil drip onto your steering rack it may actually just be a blown bushing. When I bought my 03 gt used the guy before me left caked on oil all over the steering rack, causing both bushings to blow and my steering wheel to have a bit of play in it while I drove. I went and replaced em with mm aluminum ones and the problem is gone.

Easy way to check is to lift the car and turn the wheel side to side (the tires) and look at the rack, look at the bushings to see if theres any play, if not then it may be a tie rod. But just go around checking the bushings as they are what I think is causing your probs.

oh yea on that note, how wide are your front tires? they could also be following grooves in the road. The wider the tire the more pronounced the feeling.

Could be a few things, wheels are out of balance, wheel bearings are bad, brake rotors are warped.

Are these 245/65's a snow tire by any chance? 65 is a pretty tall tire and it likely have an aggressive tread pattern and the feedback from the road will be ridiculous when you can already feel every ant you run over with 245/40's.
