Need a ford tech

RE: Need a ford techDoes anyone know how many ohms our coils should show?? im getting about .8 between t
The specs I have say 0.6Ω to 0.8Ω on the primary and 5.5kΩ to 6.5kΩ on the secondary...However, a low voltage resistance check of the secondary is only a very rough indicator of the secondary's worthiness. There could be high-resistance shorts that only show up at high voltages.Thebest check of coil functinality is to use an adjustable air gap tester and crank the engine with the fuel pump disabled.

So wait, all of my coils are in great shape then. I just replaced YET ANOTHER bad coil last night and I already have another intermittant misfire. This is getting ridiculous. I added a ground strap but that didn't help. I put dielectric grease on all of the plug to coil and coil to harness connections, I just don't know why I can't get rid of my misfires... I've had this problem for the past 2 YEARS! Any ideas??

RE: Need a ford tech
it takes FOREVER to get code thrown. And they are always misfire codes. I thought about the injector thing but it just doesn't seem right, after all these misfires and all. I'm ready to replace my wire harness...... im just at a dead end here...

RE: Need a ford tech
Well I have the misfire issues also, and your right that are annoying. But I have been tols about 5 or 6 different things to check, 1. Fuel Filter, 2. Fuel pump, 3. TPS, 4. MAF,5. PLugs, and coils, 6. injector, and I just saw where another guy on here said he had a bad cylinder causing it? I have done all except the plugs, coils, injector, and checking the cylinder, and I still have the damn thing. So if you figure it out please let us know. Thanks
