Default Borla vs. other exhaust

Alright, I have long awaited getting some Borla catbacks on my GT. However, Borla quit making them for 96 Mustangs. I tried ordering from several websites that still had it in their listings for a cheaper price (around $590), but after ordering they'd call and tell me they ran out. So that leaves me with the Borla website that lists it for $756. Do I go for the high price and the sound I want or go for a cheaper exhaust system that's not exactly what I want, but will do? I talked to a guy at a local shop and he really pushed the flows, but I'm not sure yet. What would you all do?

I just found some Borlas on ebay for $675.. hmm..

Tiffy this is what I did- Bought a Flowmaster catback, then ordered the Borla 12inch oval case XR-1 sportsman mufflers and had them welded in the flowmaster cat back. That way it resembles stock tips and roars . The whole thing cost me like 500 and 300 of that were the borla mufflers.

Tiffy, I would recommend that you look into a different catback and either do what breakinloose did or just get another catback. I would suggest looking into a slp, magnaflow, or ss catback. They sound pretty decent and do not have too much drone. Flowmasters sound nice but you'll be tired of em after a few miles on the freeway.

I' might be mistaken, but arent the 96-98 kits the same as the 99-04 kits, just with different hangar configurations. You might also just look into buying the borla mufflers and welding them another catback like previously stated. Don't settle, if you want borlas, then get them. You won't be sorry.

stingers are the only borlas that sound good.

whatever you do get a whole new catback, not just weld in the mufflers.
