Does anyone have a video of what a normal mustang sounds like inside at WOT in 5th (I know that seems pretty specific). Because mine seems "chuggy" if that is the right word to describe it, and I am not sure if it is ticking, a leak or just normal.

at what speed?? i dont have a video. and its hard for my camera phone to pick up any noise in the car when my car is ticking in 3rd 4th and 5th, but mine ticks as well

usually lower to mid speeds like 40-70 in 5th but I am just not sure if i just cant hear it anymore over the exhaust. and similar to your problem it sounds like it is coming from my passanger side

is it ur tensioner?? idk. ive been searching a lot on this forum and ive just decided that my problem is most similar to an exhaust leak.. i youtubed what detonation sounds like and couldnt find anything but i did find what a rod knock is and that is like pure metal smacking against metal. so at least you dont have that and its not going to be an expensive fix!!!

check ur exhaust and look for leaks before you try to diagnose the problem as something else.. dont get urself all nervous over nothing ya know

if its a TICK sound.. its most likely an exhaust leak

i was just a little cocerned beacsue i just changed my plugs and they were white and maybe a little bit glazed....... like this only all the way up the prong which i know is a sigh of it being lean which may be a sign of detonation.
