Default Long Tube Sound VS Short Tube Sound

I've been looking into the differences between long and short tube headers as far as sound is concerned. All I can find is that "lontubes sound better." Well, "better" is subjective so that means nothing to me. Can someone tell me the difference in sound. Is one deeper, louder, higher pitched, raspier, etc.?

Thanks.

Ive never heard short tubes... but I would assume the only difference is the LT's are louder... But to be honest... You could probably sit a GT with LT's and a GT with shorties next to each other and we couldnt tell you which one had LT's.

i'd suppose longtubes have a more deep, rough sound to them

my last stang had bbk shorties, and the only real dif between me andall the guys i know with lt's was that at idle they were loud and i wasnt loud until i got on it. itsstill louder than stock, butlts are usually just beastly loud. but of course, this might also have something to do with the mufflers.

btw, lts>shorties
