Default Need some helping picking long tubes

I believe I am going to go ahead and put in long tube headers and a catted short h-pipe this summer and was wondering if I should try to match the brands or if it wan't really a big deal. Also is there a sound difference b/t my options.

I am b/t these 2 so any other suggestions are welcome but do to budget these 2 make the most sense:

MAC long w/ BBK mid----$645
or
BBK long w/ BBK mid----$705

both prices are with shipping

thanks

with certain brands of headers you must run the same brand of mid pipe, ie SLP. There are members running different combinations of BBK and MAC and only some have reported slight fittment issues, anything major would need to be taken care of by an exhaust shop. I'd recommend sticking with the same brand of header/mid pipe. Im running BBK ceramic coated LTs and a BBK catted mid pipe.

there are three types of headers, shorty's, mid length, and longtubes. be careful, slp's are mids and only work with the slp mid length slp x/h pipes. BBK offers shorty's and Longtubes, and Mac also offers a long tube and a shorty design. Make sure if you buy LONGTUBES to buy SHORTY X/H pipe... just some thoughts.

let me know what u get and how it turns out cause i was looking into lt's also. I've read other threads saying that the midpipe is no problem between mac and bbk except for the fact that you need a short one they are interchangable. Im not sure about the higher priced brands.
