Default Auto Tranny and Tune

OK, so I have a custom tune which isn't quite finished yet so I still don't have the option to change my shift points or pressure. At the settings the tuner put in, I'm getting a "squirting" sound when it shifts under hard acceleration. For anyone who's worked with hydraulics, it sounds like a lot of flow through a small oriface with some possible air bubbles in it. I've read that with autos, the quicker and firmer the shifts the better but, this sound kind of makes me nervous. Am I tearin up my tranny? Also, since the changes were made, when I'm in stop and go traffic and I have to feather the throttle on and off it gives me a "sloppy" feeling like the drive shaft has a bunch of play or something. Please bear with me if I'm overreacting, but I hate autos 'cause I just don't trust em. Thanks in advance.

So you have or have not adjusted the shifting yet?

Well, either way most people will recommend you getting a transmission cooler before firming your shifts or if you drive it hard often.

The only thing that is going to kill your transmission is heat which a cooler will prevent.

The shift points have been modified, I just don't have the ability to adjust them myself yet.

not sure about the sound your hearing . best thing to do is go back to the shop that tuned your car & have them drive it or ride w/ you so they can hear it. I doubt its trans related . definitely get a trans cooler , 90% of all trans failure's is due to excessive heat .
