275/40 17's on stock rims with 1" spacers?
Hey all,
Anybody got 275/40's all the way around on the stock 2004 GT rims. Can this setup be run with 1" spacers all the way around or can the spacers only be on the back of the car?
Can the 245/45's be run with the 1" spacers on the front?
Thanks.

i wouldnt run that much of a spacer on the front, if you got 275's all aroudn and 1 in spacers out back it would look pretty good i think my friend has 1.25 spacers on the back of his with his stock wheels and tires and they came flush with the fenders and looks great

I have 275/40/19's all the way around and i use either 1 or 1.5 " spacers it looks pretty good.
Edit : Im running 275/35/19's my bad. But i did have 40's before i got new tires and they were doing fine

Are you looking to add spacers for the look, or for clearance? Other than than at wheel lock (wheel turned all the way) you shouldn't have any issues running a 275 without spacers. However, there is no reason to run a 275 on the front rims anyway, its not really going to help performance. if 245s would work right on my new rims I would run those in the front.

the guy at the tire shop here said that 275's would maybe fit on the rims but it wouldnt be safe to drive...sounds like i got jipped...or wait...they got jipped. lol if i even spelld that right.

Hrm, 275's on the stock 8 inch rims?
The car itself can run the 275's just fine with no rubbing issues- I got em on my 96 GT with no spacers and have had no issues whatsoever.
Yet, I would think 275's on an 8 inch rim would be too much. Personally, I wouldn't run more than 255's. I run 275's on my 9 inch rims, which seems just about right.
