Default Studdering, Hesitation Need Help?

Ok, I believe I have narrowed down my hesitation, to happening around 1500rpms. I can be going about 60 in 4th reving at about 2500, and shift to 5th, and the rpms will drop to 1500, and that is when the studdering happens. Now if I go past that it calms down. So does this sound like what everyone else's. And what does it sound like is wrong? I have changed fuel filter, fuel pump, TPS, cleaned MAF. If you know please help. Thanks

one of the guys in the car club I'm in has had problems with hesitation, turned out to be an injector issue. Bring your car in to have the fuel pressure mapped out.

This is exactly the same thing that went on with my 2002 GT, for 6-months. I did the same things that you did and it would be better for a few miles afterward, then go back to stumbling around 1500-1800 RPM, under load. I finally replaced my coils (COP) with new ones and it took care of the problem. It's not a cheap fix, though. That's why I tried all of the other things first. Runs like new now.

Does you CEL come on? Mine did not. It did not show any codeswith the scanner either.

I had a fuel injection service done, too. Like everything else, it was fine for a few miles, then went back to the same problem.

Yeah, I do not get a CEL either. I was trying not to have to change the COPs, but it looks like I am going to have to.

Is there a way to check the cops or fuel injectors without putting it on a machine?

To check COPs take out a plug, connect it to the cop, and touch the electrode against a ground point. Then watch for spark. And wear rubber gloves.

You can check injectors buy putting a stethoscope to them ($4 at harbor freight) and listen for ticking.

Ok, so basically I am just looking for the spark. I wasn't for sure if it was like checkingthe old spark plug wires. So the stethoscope thing, I just put it on the injector, with car running and listen for a tick. If it is ticking. is it good?

Right ticking is good.

One more thing make sure you disconnect that cylinder's injector when checking spark too. Then you can let the engine run with that cylinder dead as you check spark.

Then if you want you can swap that COP for another COP and so on to check all COPs

So how do you disconnect the injectors, one at a time? Thanks

No just disconnect the injector for the cylinder which you are diagnosing, so it doesn't flood it with fuel which won't be burned.
