Need slome help guys. If I were to buy the Patriot Stage II heads and comp cams would that get me about the same performance as a S/C? I was looking on line (summit racing) and I can get the heads and cam at around $2000.00. What would I would be looking at as far the price of getting them installed by a shop? Summit also has a Vortech S/C for around $3,500 with 7 to 9 psi. Is 7-9 psi a good boost. Thanks guys, I appreciate it!

id go with the supercharger the cams and heads are just going to help your engine breath better but it def won't give you the performance of a supercharger...im running 8lbs of boost on my novi 2000 and im at 380rwhp so yea thats good amount of boost

u wont see much over 300rwhp with a h/c/i full bolt on gt. superchargers can easily get you to 400rwhp

Will I have to take off any of my mods (tb, k&n cai plenium) to accomadate the S/C? If I were to go with the S/C will it help me reach my goal of low 13's or even high 12's?

The CAI won't be compatible, but you can always sell it on E-bay or here on MF.

The SC will instantly put you in the low 13's. Mid to high 12's if you work with your suspension and tires and mediocre driving skills.

why dont you just get the heads cam and supercharger.then youll be done wit it and you might hit 500 rwhp an run low 12's high 11's

if hes at 500rwhp then hes going to have to spend even more money forging the internals

And clutch, transmission, rearend, dual line fuel system, 8-rib s/c pulleys, higher boost, etc.

On another forum,someone has actually gotten 340 rwhp naturally aspirated. But, he has done everything that can be done to the motor. Asupercharger gets youto 350-370 without any ohter supporting mods. That's why superchargers are so popular.

I would imagine that a supercharger would put you in the high 12's easily. I'm running in the 13.3 range and I have no real siginificant mods. If I was running 13's with a supercharger, I would be pissed.
