Exhaust problem maybe?

Exhaust problem maybe?
OK experts I need some help.
I just purchased this 03 GT. Everything appeared fine when I test drove it and for a week. Then the CEL came on. There's a problem in the 2nd bank o2 sensor. Looks like there's a prochamber with highflow cats welded on. Although this might be a complete fab job. The exhaust doesn't smell like gas so I'm thinking the cats are not fake.
It's gotten annoyingly loud at around 2500+ rpms and there is a black soot coating the inside of the exhaust tips that wasn't there when I bought it or when I washed it Saturday. The exhaust is not hot though. I also don't hear the tics that are supposed to be associated w/ an exhaust leak.
Any ideas what might be going on?
