Default silencer

I want to cut my silencer off flush with the fender so I canretain the stock look but, i noticed the silencer angles toward the back of the car. If i cut it flush do I stand a chance of sucking water during the rain?

no. Cold air intakes stick down into the fender-well and don't get wet.

It's the rubber piece that sticks into the fender from your intake (seen in the picture below) It will make the inlet a little bigger so it should give you a little more power, but nothing you will notice probably.

My GT came with out a silencer. And I have never had any issues! Although My V6 Did have one on it.....just a thought is this a model year issue that came with or without a silencer? Just a thought.
