Battery Light errr
Well i keep getting my battery light going on, ik its not the battery just replaced it as a quick test and ik the battery light has nothing to do with the battery. its the chargeing system.
ok so heres the deal i parked the car for the winter, all was fine, started it up and the light comes on itermittenly, no rime or reason, car runs fine, alternator seems to be OK as it is keeping the battery at a good charge, but not over chargeing i have test it on the volt meter, its putting out about the normal 13.7-14.2 volts, car runs FINE and the light comes on randomly, or sometimes on a 20 min drive not at all. i do notice it will come on if i bring it to the high rpms about 4k or so, and shut off when im just cruzeing, however it will come on idleing, and has also come on during normal cruzeing speed. im thinkin the voltage reg. but usually the car will die, or not start at all or die as soon as it starts so i read (searched) any suggestions?

RE: Battery Light errr
Probably your voltage regulator taking a dump. I would just replace the alternator. That should solve the problem. It's probably throwing the light when the voltage drops off.

Had the same problem not too long ago. Turned out to be a fuse for the alternator, and I bought a new one for no reason. Might wanna check your fuses first. Ford didn't even charge me for new fuse. 1 dollar fix

everything should be tight, but i will check all the connections this weekend when she gets the long tubes, and custom valve covers put on, as well as the suspension that im still up in the air about.
