Default seasonal chances = different weight?

Do you go with a lighter weight oil in the summer and heaver weight in the winter.
I thought I read on here a debate that others recommended a different weight other than 5/20.

As you live in the northeast as myself you can just leave it the same year round!

i would just use the same all year round. but if you really wanted to i would go with lighter in the winter because the heavier puts more strain on the motor when its cold. In the summer the heavier could keep the engine cooler and maybe not burn off as quick.
