Ok, I'm running a 1996 Cobra, vortech supercharger, build engine, etc (can't name all the mods because I didn't put them in) but I took it to the dyno the other day to get it tuned (was running really rich) and Iran out of fuel. I'm currently running 42lb injectors with a 255lph in the tank the vortech T-rex to help out. At 6300 rpm I was at 473rwhp.

I'm a bit confused because I thought 42 lb injectors could handle over 500rwhp.

If I need to get new injectors, where do you guys recommend getting them from and any brands that are better than others? The dyno shop also mentioned needing a booster pump. Any idea on where to get these?

hmm...im prety sure 42 lbs injectors handle over 500 hp...a buddy of mine has a 97 cobra with 500+rwhp and hes runnin 42lb injectors, so i'd have to agree with the dyno shop -get a boost pump

Please note that a BAP does not work on a return style fuel pump/setup as above!

42s do support a tad over 500, but not much. you're going to have to get a dual pump setup if you want to go much higher too. that single 255 ain't gonna cut it

I already have a dual pump system. The 255 in tank and also the T-Rex that comes with the Vortech supercharger system.

Also remember, I am only at 6300rpm out of 7000rpm or more. Above 6300 my air fuel ratio spikes.

Lizzyfan, is a Boost-a-pump the same as a booster pump? Just want to make sure that I'm not getting my terminology mixed up.

Can't you increase a 42 pounder's hp capacity by jacking up the fuel pressure. Or, have you maximized that already?

how much boost are you pushing? Increase the boost.

I got 03 cobra tank and pumps. Im making 520 with 42lb injectors at 15PSI.

60's tune better. THats what I have witht hte 255 and everythhings cool.
