2003 Mustang GT
03 GT Deluxe, makes a loud pitched whining noise. I just replaced the torque converter and it's still making the same sound. Sound is coming from near the end of the engine/start of transmission. Any thoughts??? I'm clueless.

Tremec makes the TR-3650.
That kind of thing is gonna be real tough to diagnose on the internet but my guesses are driveshaft out of balance or something in the rear end. Maybe an output shaft bearing.
Take note of whether it is accompanied by a vibration, if the frequency of the sound changes with vehicle or engine speed. Or if it changes with gear shifting. If you really listen to the sound and think about how everything works together you can usually narrow it down. Good luck

I appreciate all the help guys! It ended up being my planetary gears. I got tired of wondering, so I just got my service manual and tore it down myself. They stripped out causing it to whine bad & pretty much making my 3rd gear go out. I've shipped it off back to Tremec to have a hard rebuild done to it. Costing me $3670 total. I appreciate ya'll!
