Well I washed my engine today and when I went to drive my 99 Mustang the engine shakes and the maintenance light came on. Anyone got any suggestions? I hope nothing blew

sounds like you have a misfire happening. something you will need to attend to asap. id say it was from washing your engine, i see it everyday. do you have a gt or v6?

I have a Gt 4.6 engine.

yea it sounds like it spitting and spuddering. It ran fine to the store and on the way back the light came on and I noticed the shaking

yeah it sounds like a mis fire. id take to autozone or advanced they should be able to pull the code for you no charge. if it is a misfire check the plug first on the cylinder, then check your coil on plug.

Should I just pop the hood and let it dry??
Or is something definatly have to get replaced?

i doubt letting it dry will do anything, but you can try. if it is the plug def. get it replaced. you might want to check over your motor to make sure your didnt knock any sensors loose especially if you used pressure washer. you will want to get the code first if your light is on.
