HELP White Face Gauge Install
The gauge cluster is out and cover off but i don't know how to take off the needles to get the old gauge plates off. DId you guys cut them up or what? My new ones i think will slip over the needles. Is it ok for the needles to move? I've heard stuff about not correcting speedo needle... what should i be careful about???

Here's what I'd recommend: TAKE A PHOTO OF YOUR GAUGE POSITIONS WITH YOUR IGNITION ON. Then use a needle removal tool to pop the needles off. Or a fork! Remove old face. Put on your new face. Hook back up, and put needles back on with ignition on, in the locations of your photo. Tweak accordingly. That's what I did, anyway.

Just have someone help you and hold the needles all pointing to the top of the cluster. Then slide to gauge overlay overtop of them. Thats whay I did. It was pretty easy, I had two people holding needles while tried to slide the overlay overtop the needles.

RE: HELP White Face Gauge Install
Well i guess i rushed into it and took out needles, used spoons, and now i got to go put the needles on after i have the car idleing, warmed up, and go hop on the highway with a friend to get my speedo right. The design for my year sucks cause the electrical connector to the tach/rpm peice gets in the way of the engine heat gauge.

RE: HELP White Face Gauge Install
Nah it cool just got to excited to get em in. I didn't have to take the needles out but wanted to see inside and wasn't thinking about not being able to line em up perfctly after but ill get it right tommorow. Also will post pics tommorow. Any suggestions on the wiring cause i got the red one going into the grey of the headlight thing, and the black(ground) to and metal surface? I don't have a solding gun so i was thinking if i just taped it to that round thing back there and then zipe tied it tight with a lot of the wire exposed i'd be good, but maybe time to go get a cheap soldering gun.
