'02 billet dipstick tube?
anyone installed a billet dipstick tube? one of these flexible ones made our of braided metal? got a few questions if ya did..
1) where did you bolt the thing? it's currently kinda just chilling there; the car's not being driven yet (not warm enought yet..) but it will be soon, and i clearly need to find a place to bracket this thing on to, except there simply isn't anywhere solid to drill in to!
2) the dipstick tube length... the length seems pretty much the same as the original one, but when i measure the amount of oil in the mustang it's way over "full," which simply isn't the case. furthermore, i had to use the original stock dipstick as opposed to the one provided by lokar; the lokar dipstick is far too rigid to fit through my headers and way too long.. i can't even push the lokar dipstick IN all the way as it bumps i assume the other side of the oil pan.
now, as an attempt to answer my first question, lokar claims the following:
What do the engine dipstick brackets mount to?
All Lokar Flexible Engine Dipsticks either mount to a header or exhaust manifold bolt.
uhh, i don't want to drill into my HEADER, and the bolts, as we all know, are near impossible to take off without removing, well, everything...
anyway, would love to hear some feedback from anyone who installed this thing.. if you need a part # or whatever, to know exactly what i'm talking about, it's at http://www.lokar.com/product-descrip...g-dipstick.htm
thanks if anyone has any answers!!!

take a pic of the dipstick tube, is there a bracket on the tube for mounting?
