same thing happened to me, what your gonna want to do is get an electrician to uninstall your theft system, its simple but just to be safe it would be best you get a pro to do it, its the black box right above your clutch with wire hookups all through it. the whole uninstall time should be not even 20 minutes and it is about $50 ora little less. good luck.

if its the factory theft light in the dash the theft system is part of the pcm and cant be uninstalled, u probably messed up the pcm when you installed the chip with the key forward

The PATS system is actually 4 parts.
The PCM.
The Cluster.
The RFID pickup in the steering column.
The chip in the head of the key.
It's actually 5 parts if you count the CAN bus that the PCM uses to communicate with the cluster.
Sounds like you hosed something plugging the chip in with power on.
Pull the battery for an hour or so, remove the aftermarket chip you plugged in of course and plug the battery back in.
If the car starts, then pull the battery again, plug your chip in, connect the battery and test.
If not, you've hosed the PCM or the cluster.
If it starts, you are good to go.
If not, the chip is causing problems.
Also check your fuses....
A tuner can turn OFF PATS if you wish, but I wouldn't do that as it is a very good theft deterrent.

Remove the chip.
Test.
If no start, you either blew a fuse or hosed the PCM/Cluster or it's a coincidence.
If you have a tilt wheel, try moving it to another position as sometimes the wires to the pickup get hosed and won't make a good connection.
If that solves the problem, take off the lower shroud to the steering column and poke around looking for the pickup and wires and check for a good connection.
Be careful as the airbag wires in in their as well
